From President's Desk
Kashmir is an ecologically fragile region blessed with extraordinary natural beauty. Our environment is the very foundation of our tourism industry and the lifeline of our economy. If we fail to protect our forests, lakes, rivers, mountains, and biodiversity, we risk losing not only our natural heritage but also the livelihoods of thousands of people.
Tourism, horticulture, agriculture, handicrafts, and many other sectors are closely connected to a healthy environment. Preserving nature is therefore not merely an environmental responsibility—it is an economic and social necessity.
At the Ecotourism Association of Kashmir, we are committed to promoting responsible tourism that balances conservation with development. Through collective action, awareness, and community participation, we can ensure that Kashmir remains a pristine destination for generations to come.
Together, let us protect nature, strengthen our communities, and build a sustainable future for Kashmir.
